Bob and Cindy Surline, owners of the Brick House Rug Center have been collecting and selling fine arts and antiques for over 20 years. They often had the desire to have a beautiful area rug as the focal point of their antique store, The Brick House Antique Center, in Palmyra NY and at their home. Finding quality antique oriental rugs at affordable prices was a challenge. That is how the Brick House Rug Center came about.

Bob and Cindy believe that the most important factor in achieving decorative harmony in a room is to select a principal element. This may be an unusual piece of furniture, a painting, or tapestry, but most often it is the decorative treatment on the floor. The Surline’s love and appreciation for oriental rugs started them on a journey to find quality affordable area rugs that they could offer for sale to compliment the antique furniture.
